Iridium OpenPort
Iridium's new OpenPort maritime service offers for the first time global, mobile high speed data and voice communication using compact, affordable equipment. It is also ideal for establishing high speed data and voice communication between remote construction, mining, survey, aid relief and research sites and the outside world. With its compact, omni-directional antenna (pictured below), OpenPort is suitable for installation on commercial and recreational vessels, but can also be used in fixed site installations on land.
