The FasTracker unit (http://www.fastwave.com.au/fastracker.html) is ideal for rapid mobilisation of vehicle/aircraft tracking capability anywhere in the world. It is supplied in a portable form, and requires no permanent installation, with minimal involvement from the driver or crew. Simply plug it into the vehicle or aircraft's accessory power socket, locate the antenna and it commences automated, real-time tracking. It includes a distress alarm for the driver or air-crew, that will send an instant email and sms alert anywhere in the world. The unit can be transferred from one vehicle or aircraft to another in seconds, providing flexibility for operators of hire fleets.
The Gryphon (http://www.fastwave.com.au/gryphon.html) portable tracking and satellite communication unit offers the same tracking capabilities as the FasTracker, but also includes an integrated Iridium satellite phone, providing global voice and sms communication to and from the driver or pilot. In addition, the Gryphon will operate fully autonomously, using its re-chargeable internal battery pack, for up to 3 days. This makes it ideal for projects where personnel maybe operating away from vehicles, or transferring between aircraft, vehicles or vessels for short periods.
Both the FasTracker and Gryphon are supported by Fastwave's multi-award winning FastView online tracking and safety alerting system. When you rent either product, full access to the system is included in the daily rental charge, including setting up of passwords, alert distribution lists and basic geo-fences. There is no limit to the number of units that can be tracked. The only requirements to use the system are a computer with an internet connection and Google Earth installed, or MS Virtual Earth.
